Dr. Leonard to Address Transgender Community
CRANSTON, Rhode Island – Dr. Robert Leonard, chief surgeon and founder of Leonard Hair Transplant Associates, will discuss “The Latest Medical and Surgical Hair Restoration Options for the Transgender Patient,” at the First Event 2011 Transgender Conference at the Boston Marriott Peabody, Friday-Sunday, January 19-23.
Among his remarks, Dr. Leonard will talk about creating a feminine hairline; modern hair transplantation techniques to re-grow thicker hair; transplantation into surgical scars; facial and pubic transplantation; and other topics of importance to the transgender patient. In addition, Dr. Leonard will review the causes of hair loss and discuss the current therapies to treat it including medical options, laser therapy and permanent hair transplantation. He will also present the most recent and permanent surgical hair restoration techniques including NeoGraft.
Dr. Leonard is medically educated, trained and licensed to perform hair transplant procedures for men and women. He is the Hair Loss Expert for Johnson & Johnson, makers of Rogaine®,. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
Dr. Leonard earned his Bachelor of Arts at the University of New Hampshire and his medical degree at the University of New England, College of Osteopathic Medicine.
