Dr. Robert Leonard Receives “Golden Follicle” Award from International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery
Newton Centre, MA – October 28, 2020 – Leonard Hair Transplant Associates (LHTA), a trusted leader in providing hair restoration services across New England for more than 30 years, proudly announces that its founder, Dr. Robert Leonard, has been awarded “The Golden Follicle Award” as part of the 2020 Advancing Excellence in Hair Restoration awards by the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) at the 28th World Congress and World Live Surgery Workshop that was held virtually this year.
Each year, the ISHRS honors three clinical professionals for their outstanding contributions to the profession of hair restoration surgery. Dr. Leonard received the 2020 Golden Follicle Award, which recognizes an ISHRS member who has made outstanding and significant clinical contributions in the field of hair restoration surgery. Dr. Matthew Lopresti, Chief Surgeon, Leonard Hair Transplant Associates, presented Dr. Leonard with the award virtually.

As founder of Leonard Hair Transplant Associates, Dr. Leonard is medically educated, trained and licensed to perform hair restoration procedures for men and women, to treat thinning hair, partial, and significant baldness. He also performs facial hair transplantation, restoration for aesthetic reasons or for correction after injury, and hair restoration of sideburns in men or women who have had facial cosmetic procedures.

Dr. Leonard is a Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery and a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He has served on a variety of boards, including the State of Rhode Island Board of Medical Licensure and Discipline, and has acted as a leader in a number of respected organizations, with such titles as President of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS), Chairman of the ISHRS’s Bylaws and Ethics Committee, Chairman of the ISHRS’s Communications and Public Education Committee, Trustee of the University of New England, and Trustee of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery.
